Viewing TopN data for network categories in TrueSight

To view the TopN dashboard

To view further information on a device or port

To navigate through different Views and Subviews

The TopN dashboard shows the top 5 devices or ports in the selected View from Entuity for each of 11 categories:

• Inbound Fault
• Outbound Fault
• Top Listeners
• Top Talkers
• Inbound Utilization
• Outbound Utilization
• Inbound Discards
• Outbound Discards
• CPU Utilization
• Memory Utilization
• Response Time

At the top of the dashboard, there is a list of the Subviews that are directly within the current View. You can drill down into these Subviews to change the information displayed in the dashboard below.

To view the TopN dashboard:

1. Click Network.
2. Click TopN. This will open the TopN dashboard.

To view further information on a device or port:

1. From the TopN dashboard, click on the device or port name to open the summary details page of the selected object.
2. Details of the device summary details page can be found here. Note that the port summary details page has the same layout as the device summary details page but without the Ports section.

To navigate through different Views and Subviews:

1. Navigate to the TopN dashboard.
2. In the list of Subviews at the top of the dashboard, click on the Subview that you want to see details for.
3. This will drill down into that Subview and reload the eleven TopN tables below with data on the selected Subview, which then becomes the dashboard's context View.
4. Navigate back up the View hierarchy by either clicking on the [parent View] in the link at the top of the dashboard, or by clicking the Back button.
