The integration of ENA and BMC Remedy AR System automates the workflow of generating Action Requests (ARs) from within the ENA management system. An AR can be generated after a fault or event by any IT infrastructure assets under ENA management. ARs generated from ENA are used in the AR system for normal action request processing and assignment. Also, an administrator can raise a non-specific AR, or identify a network object(s), and generate an AR for specific action against those devices.
The ENA AR System Integration enables:
- automatic generation of ARs, derived from ENA events, to particular application forms on target AR System servers.
- interactive generation of ARs, initiated from ENA. The specified application forms on target AR System servers are opened for editing, with default data populated from the current ENA-managed object.
- AR System-invoked ENA Lookup, which is context-sensitive invocation of ENA from an AR System form. ENA passes to the AR System a URL identifying the managed object that is the source of the AR. This allows administrators to access all the real-time and historical event information stored in ENA.
