To add a CVE to the acknowledge list
To delete a CVE from the acknowledged list
Introduction:
The Acknowledged CVEs tab of the Vulnerability Monitoring page displays a table of CVE IDs that have been acknowledged by users on the server. Because they are acknowledged, any CVE IDs in this table will be ignored from future scans.
This table is populated manually and maintained manually. If a CVE is deleted from the Acknowledged CVEs, then it may be again raised against matching CPEs during the next scan.
From this table, you can also access and view details of the specific CVE listing on the NIST website.
This tab is applicable only to servers, not configuration sets.
To add a CVE to the acknowledged list:
- Navigate to the Acknowledged CVEs tab of the Vulnerability Monitoring page.
- Click Add CVE at the top of the tab (or via the Overflow Menu).
- The Add CVE ID form will open on the right of the window. Enter the CVE ID in the following format: 'CVE-YYYY-XXXX', e.g. CVE-2019-9977.
- Click Done to add the CVE ID, otherwise click Cancel.
To view details of a CVE:
- Navigate to the Acknowledged CVEs tab of the Vulnerability Monitoring page.
- Select the CVE you wish to view details for, and from the Overflow Menu or right-click Context Menu, click View Details (Open URL).
- A new tab will open, displaying the specific CVE on the NIST website.
To delete a CVE from the acknowledged list:
- Navigate to the Acknowledged CVEs tab of the Vulnerability Monitoring page.
- From the table, select the CVE(s) that you would like to delete and click Delete CVEs at the top of the tab (or via the Overflow Menu or right-click Context Menu).
- A deletion confirmation dialog will open.
