Introduction to reporting style templates:
From Entuity v19.0 upwards, you can edit the style of reports. These are saved as templates that you can apply when you run reports. This allows you to edit the following:
- Logo to be displayed on the report (e.g. your company's logo).
- Table and section header font color.
- Table and section font color.
Permission requirements:
The Style Management permission is required to use this functionality. Please see this article for further help and information on Entuity user and user group permissions.
To create a new reporting style template:
- Click the Main Menu and then Administration.
- On the Administration page, click Reporting Styles.
- The Reporting Styles page will open. This page lists the saved reporting style templates you currently have.
- To create a new style, click New Style at the top of the page or via the Overflow Menu.
- This will open the Create Report Style
- Enter a Name for the template.
- Upload an image for the Report Logo. The default is default.png, which is the Entuity Network Analytics logo.
- Use the color picker to specify the background and font colors for the overall section headers and individual table headers.
- Click Done to save your changes, otherwise click Cancel.
To edit a reporting style template:
- On the Reporting Styles page, select a template and then click Edit Style at the top of the page, via the right click Context Menu, or via the Overflow Menu.
- This will open the Edit Report Style form, which provides the same
- Click Done to save your changes, otherwise click Cancel.
To delete a reporting style template:
- On the Reporting Styles page, select one or more templates and then click Delete Styles via either the right click Context Menu or the Overflow Menu.
- A confirmation window will appear for you to confirm your decision.
To apply a reporting style to a report:
You can select a reporting style template when creating a report from the Report style template dropdown field.
The report will then employ the selected reporting style. In the below example, we can see that the 'Generic Company style' template has been selected, which we created above.
