To start/stop OS services from the OS Services dashlet
Introduction:
You can start or stop OS services via the right-click context menu of the server device itself, or from the OS Services dashlet.
To start/stop OS services or run commands from the server device itself:
Starting and stopping OS services and running commands are configuration management tasks. You can access these via the Configuration Management submenu of the right-click Context Menu from the device itself.
- Run Command (Windows or Linux) - runs a given Powershell (if Windows) or Bash (if Linux) command. A warning will display before running. The script will be run with the permissions of the given credentials. You can check the output details of any commands run from the Details form of the task subjob history (Device Configuration Management page > History tab > select task > Details > select subjob > Details).
- Start Service (Windows or Linux)
- Stop Service (Windows or Linux)
To start/stop OS services from the OS Services dashlet:
- Navigate to the OS Services dashboard or the custom dashboard containing an OS Services dashlet.
- From the OS Services dashlet, select the dashlet that you wish to start/stop.
- Click Start Service or Stop Service at the top of the dashlet (or via the Overflow Menu or right-click Context Menu).
