To delete or suspend a scheduled report
To view a history of scheduled reports
You can schedule a report to run at specified times, and for the report to be emailed to a specified recipient or recipients. You can only schedule individual reports - you cannot schedule report folders.
Note, schedules are only associated with the report type for which they were created, e.g. you cannot use a schedule that was created for an Event Summary report with a Device Latency report.
To schedule a report:
- In the Main Menu, click Reports.
- The Reports page will open, displaying the report categories. Click on the category containing the report that you want to schedule.
- The available reports in this category are then displayed. Click the Schedule icon of the report you want to schedule.
- This opens that report's Report Schedules page. Click New Schedule to open the Schedule Report window.
- Complete the fields under the Parameters, Schedule and Email tabs. Entuity recommends that you make use of the Description field under the Parameters tab, to help others maintain the system at a later date. This will also help when reviewing and identifying report schedules that you might want to suspend or delete.
- Report Parameters will vary according to the selected report.
- When configuring Email notifications:
you can include the following email notification tags:
Email Tag Description <reportURL> abbreviated URL to the report on the Entuity server, e.g. /reports/Activity/EventSummary. <user> user account that generated the report. <view> Entuity View against which the report is generated, e.g. London Office. <format> format of the generated report, e.g. HMTL, PDF. <report-name> name of the report. <report-description> report description, e.g. Summary of real-time events raised. <report-link> URL to the report. The user is required to log in to Entuity to view the report. <report-history-id> identifies the particular instance of the report, e.g. an identifier of 49 would indicate the 49th time the report has been generated. <start-time> date and time the report was generated. <queue-size> report queue size at the time the report generation request was made. - If you are specifying multiple email addresses in the To field, use a semicolon ; to separate email addresses, e.g.: email1@address.com; email2@address.com; email3@address.com.
- If the Attach Files box is ticked, the email will attach the generated report(s).
- Report Parameters will vary according to the selected report.
- Click OK to save the schedule, Cancel to leave without saving, or Run Now to run the report immediately.
The options available under the Parameters tab will vary depending on the report category.
