Upgrade paths to ENA v18.0

Starting with Entuity 16.5

User is running Entuity 16.5 on Windows Server 2008, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0
User is running Entuity 16.5 on Windows Server 2012, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0
User is running Entuity 16.5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES version 6, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0
User is running Entuity 16.5 on Oracle Linux 6, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0

Starting with ENA v17.0

User is running ENA v17.0 on Windows Server 2012, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0
User is running ENA v17.0 on Windows Server 2016, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0
User is running ENA v17.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES version 6, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0
User is running ENA v17.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES version 7, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0
User is running ENA v17.0 on Oracle Linux 6, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0
User is running ENA v17.0 on Oracle Linux 7, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0

 

Please see below for a guide on the possible upgrade paths to ENA v18.0 from Entuity 16.5 or ENA v17.0. Note, after you have upgraded the OS, do not run your current version of Entuity/ENA before upgrading to ENA v18.0.

 

Starting with Entuity 16.5:

User is running Entuity 16.5 on Windows Server 2008, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade OS to Windows Server 2016 or 2019.
  2. Upgrade to ENA v18.0.

User is running Entuity 16.5 on Windows Server 2012, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade OS to Windows Server 2016 or 2019.
  2. Upgrade to ENA v18.0.

User is running Entuity 16.5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES version 6, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade OS to Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES version 7 or 8.
  2. Upgrade to ENA v18.0.

User is running Entuity 16.5 on Oracle Linux 6, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade OS to Oracle Linux 7 or 8.
  2. Upgrade to ENA v18.0.

 

Starting with ENA v17.0:

User is running ENA v17.0 on Windows Server 2012, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade OS to Windows Server 2016 or 2019.
  2. Upgrade to ENA v18.0.

User is running ENA v17.0 on Windows Server 2016, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade to ENA v18.0
  2. (Optional before or after step 1: upgrade OS to Windows Server 2019).

User is running ENA v17.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES version 6, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade OS to Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES version 7 or 8.
  2. Upgrade to ENA v18.0.

User is running ENA v17.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES version 7, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade to ENA v18.0
  2. (Optional before step 1: upgrade OS to Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES version 8.)

User is running ENA v17.0 on Oracle Linux 6, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade OS to Oracle Linux 7 or 8.
  2. Upgrade to ENA v18.0.

User is running ENA v17.0 on Oracle Linux 7, and wishes to upgrade to ENA v18.0:

  1. Upgrade to ENA v18.0
  2. (Optional before step 1: upgrade OS to Oracle Linux 8.)
