Applicable to Entuity v23.0 P03 upwards. If you are using an earlier version of Entuity, see version 01 of this article.
Introduction:
The Payloads tab of the Custom Webhooks page displays a list of your received webhook payloads. From this tab, you can also upload your own payload data, which can then also be used to create webhook rules.
To upload a webhook payload:
- Navigate to the Payloads tab of the Custom Webhooks page.
- If you don't have a multi-server environment, skip to the next step. Otherwise, from the Server/Configuration Set dropdown field at the top-left of the page, select the server or configuration set to which you want to upload a payload.
-
Click +Upload at the top of the page, or from the Overflow Menu.
The Upload Payload form is displayed.
- Group - specify the webhook group containing the endpoint device to which this payload will be uploaded.
-
Device - select the endpoint device from which to stimulate origin of the payload.
Note, this field applies only if you are uploading a payload to a server that is not part of a server configuration set. If working with a configuration set, because endpoints are not stored in a configuration set, you can't select an endpoint device to be associated with the payload. - Type - specify the payload type in the dropdown field, either JSON or XML.
- Payload Data - paste the data of the payload into the Payload Data field.
- Click Done to save your changes. Otherwise, click Cancel.
To delete a webhook payload:
- Navigate to the Payloads tab of the Custom Webhooks page.
- If you don't have a multi-server environment, skip to the next step. Otherwise, from the Server/Configuration Set dropdown field at the top-left of the page, select the server or configuration set from which you want to delete a payload.
- From the table, select the payload that you want to delete.
- Click Delete at the top of the page (or from the Overflow Menu or right-click Context Menu).
Note, you can't delete a payload from a server that's in a configuration set.
- At the confirmation window, click Yes to confirm the deletion. Otherwise, click No.
