To monitor OIDs through ticker
The MIB Browser is available for devices that Entuity manages using SNMP. It is not available for ping-only, VM platforms and custom device types. To access the MIB Browser, you must be an administrator or have the MIB Browser user permission.
To access the MIB Browser:
- Navigate to and select the device for which you want to view the MIB Browser.
- Right click to access the device's context menu, and click MIB Browser.
- This will open the device's MIB Browser page.
The MIB Browser page:
The MIB Browser page enables you to navigate to a MIB via the explorer tree structure or Search functionality. You can then populate the results table on the right side of the page with the OID(s) and their value(s) on the selected index.
Click Show details to display details of the OID currently selected in the explorer tree. This is a collapsible section that you can hide by clicking Hide details.
You can also use the Index to specify the index at which to start browsing the MIB.
- Click Get to update the results table on the right of the page, which will display the OID(s) and their value(s) on the selected index.
- Click Get next to update the index to reflect the last item they returned.
- Click Get next 100 to list the next 100 OIDs in the index.
To manage MIB definitions:
- Navigate to the MIB Browser page for your selected device.
- Click Manage MIBs. This will open the Manage MIBs window, which gives you the option to:
- import MIB definitions.
- load MIB definitions.
- unload MIB definitions.
- delete MIB definitions.
- export MIB definitions.
To monitor OIDs through ticker:
- Navigate to the MIB Browser page for your selected device.
- Find and select the required OID or OIDs in the results table, and click Ticker. Note, the Ticker button is only available when the selected OID can be used with ticker.
- A ticker chart for that OID will open in a new tab.
- If you return to the MIB Browser page, select different OIDs and click Ticker again, the ticker chart will be refreshed to include the new OID(s).
