Hypervisor NIC performance attributes
Entuity manages Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure (Azure), Oracle VM, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESXi VM platforms, and their hypervisors, virtual machines and virtual switches. After discovering VM platforms, Entuity can discover their hypervisors and virtual machines.
Virtualization data can be accessed via the Virtualization dashboard.

Devices used to manage virtualization data:
Entuity uses these device types to manage virtualization data:
- VM platforms (the hardware server on which hypervisors operate).
- Hypervisors.
- Virtual machines (VMs).
- vSwitch access to the virtual network.
You can also manage the virtual machine server as a managed host, and Entuity maintains the relationship between the host and the VM.
Supported events and incidents:
The following events/incidents are supported where the underlying is available:
- Virtualization Connection Failed.
- Virtualization Connection Success.
- Virtual Machine Powered On.
- Virtual Machine Powered Off.
- Virtual Disk Usage High (relative to threshold).
- Virtual Disk Usage High Cleared.
- Virtual Machine Moved (VM moved between hypervisors).
- Virtual Machine CPU High (relative to threshold).
- Virtual Machine CPU High Cleared.
- VM Guest Memory High (relative to threshold).
- VM Guest Memory High Cleared.
- Virtual Machine Max Disk Usage High (relative to threshold). This is a VM-level event and looks at the highest disk utilization across of VDisks owned by the VM.
- Virtual Machine Max Disk Usage High Cleared.
Virtual machine attributes:
| VM Attribute | Description |
|---|---|
| VM CPU (MHz) | the amount of CPU used, in MHz, during the interval. Amount of actively used virtual CPU. This is the host's view of the CPU usage, not the guest operating system view. |
| Guest memory usage (MB) | guest physical memory refers to the virtual hardware memory presented to a virtual machine for its guest operating system. |
| Host memory usage (MB) | machine memory is the RAM that's actually installed in the hardware that comprises the virtualization server system. |
| Power status | power state of the virtual machine. poweredOn or poweredOff. |
Hypervisor NIC performance attributes:

| Packets Tx | number of outbound packets transmitted by the hypervisor. |
| Packets Rx | number of inbound packets transmitted by the hypervisor. |
| Bytes Rx | number of inbound bytes received by the hypervisor. |
| Bytes Tx | number of outbound packets transmitted by the hypervisor. |
