You can configure Entuity to automatically send email notifications to specified recipients whenever events are raised that meet set criteria. For example, you can configure Entuity to send emails to on-call support staff when severe events are raised against key devices during out-of-office hours.
Note, you must configure the SMTP server for Entuity to be able to send emails before utilizing this functionality.
Note, as of Entuity v21.0 GA and Entuity v20.0 P05, email sender domains are validated for correctness. This means that the ‘emailFrom’ field configured in Entuity must now be valid, and must not contain illegal characters as defined in the RFC 1034.
To manage event notifications in Entuity, users require the Event Administration tool permission. However, from ENA v17.0 P08 upwards, users will not require this tool permission to manage event notifications.
