To add a Dell Isilon REST API storage device to my network
From Entuity v19.0 P03 upwards, monitoring for Dell Isilon storage devices is supported by REST API connection. For information on Entuity support for Dell Isilon storage devices via SSH, please see this article.
For non-production deployments (test environments), you can disable strict certificate checking. Note, this is not recommended for production environments. To disable strict certificate checking, navigate to the following file:
[entuity install]/lib/CollectionEngine/etc/cecfg.properties
In this file, there is the property:trustAllCertificates=[value]
If set to 'true', certificate checking will be removed. The property might be commented with a preceding # sign (e.g. #trustAllCertificates=true), in which case you will need to remove the # for the property to be recognized. The following models are supported:
- X200
- X410
- Gen6 (A2000)
Please see below the list of application classes and the attributes that are monitored for this storage device.
- PPT_SR_BATTERY - batteries.
- PPT_SR_ENCLOSURE - systems/enclosures.
- PPT_SR_FANS - fans
- PPT_SR_PHYSICALDISK - physical disks
- PPT_SR_PORT - ports.
- PPT_SR_POWERSUPPLY - power supplies.
- PPT_SR_SENSOR - sensors (voltage, current, power, temperatures).
