To populate the dashlets in the QoS dashboard
The QoS dashboard displays pre- and post-policy QoS information for devices and ports. Please see this article for further help and information on how Entuity manages QoS.
The QoS dashboard is not applicable to any other type of managed object.
The information in this dashboard is displayed in dashlets. The dashlets in the QoS dashboard are the same for both devices and ports.
In addition to this device- and port-level QoS dashboard, Entuity provides a number of Summary dashboards for each of the constituent elements of QoS analysis.
For a device or port:
- Policy Maps - this is a Table dashlet. This dashlet lists the policy maps for the selected device or port. You can click on a policy map in the table to open its Summary dashboard.
- Class Maps - this is a Table dashlet. This dashlet lists the class maps for the selected device or port. You can click on a class map to open its Summary dashboard.
- Pre-Policy Bit Rate - this is a Chart dashlet. This dashlet displays in a chart the bit rate before the policy was applied.
- Pre-Policy Packet Rate - this is a Chart dashlet. This dashlet displays in a chart the packet rate before the policy was applied.
- Post-Policy Bit Rate - this is a Chart dashlet. This dashlet displays in a chart the bit rate after the policy was applied.
- Post-Policy Packet Rate - this is a Chart dashlet. This dashlet displays in a chart the packet rate after the policy was applied.
- Dropped Bit Rate - this is a Chart dashlet. This dashlet displays in a chart the dropped bit rate.
- Dropped - No Buffer (rate) - this is a Chart dashlet. This dashlet displays the rate at which packets are being dropped because buffering is not available.
- Pre-Policy Util (%) - this is a Chart dashlet. This dashlet displays in a chart the utilization % before the policy was applied.
- Post-Policy Util (%) - this is a Chart dashlet. This dashlet displays in a chart the utilization % after the policy was applied.
To populate the dashlets in the QoS dashboard:
In order for the dashlets to populate with data, you first need to select a policy map in the Policy Maps dashlet. The Class Maps dashlet will then populate with the class maps associated with the selected policy map.
Then, you will need to select a class map, which will then populate the remaining chart dashlets in the dashboard.
Please see the article Creating dashlets that draw data from other dashlets in the same dashboard for further help and information on this.
