To create a monitoring user account
Configuration details to specify when adding the asset to Entuity
Entuity supports hardware monitoring on IBM BladeCenter systems through the Advanced Management Module module using SSH commands. Entuity discovers the chassis, blades, processors, memory, physical disks, disk controllers, IO modules, as well as power supplies and fans, of each system. To do so, the Entuity collector uses port 22 (which must be open bidirectionally between the Entuity server/agent and the IBM BladeCenter system) and a monitoring user account.
Supported devices
- IBM BladeCenters
To create a monitoring user account:
- Log into the Advanced Management Module web interface with administrator-level credentials.
- Navigate to MM Control > Login Profiles.
- Click one of the unused User ID links.
- Create a user account by entering a new user ID and password, and selecting the Operator role for the account.
- Click Save.
