Configuration details to specify when adding the asset to Entuity
Entuity supports hardware monitoring on chassis systems with the IBM/Lenovo Chassis Management Module (CMM) through Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) queries using the CIM protocol. Entuity discovers the chassis, blades, management node, CMM, chassis switch, power, and cooling components of each chassis system. To do so, the Entuity collector uses port 5989 (which must be open bidirectionally between the Entuity server/agent and the chassis system) and a monitoring user account.
Supported devices
- IBM/Lenovo Flex System Chassis
- Chassis with CMM Generation I
To create a monitoring user account:
- Log into the CMM web-based user interface, and navigate to Mgt Module Management > User Accounts.
- From the Accounts tab, click Create User, and then set a username and password for the account.
- Click Next, and then select Default Operator Group to assign read-only permissions to the account.
- Navigate to Mgt Module Management > Network > CIM, and select the Enable CIM checkbox.
- Save your changes.
