To create a monitoring user account
Configuration details to specify when adding the asset to Entuity
Entuity supports hardware monitoring on IBM/Lenovo chassis systems with IBM CMMs through the Lenovo XClarity Administrator REST API implementation. Entuity discovers the chassis, blades, management node, CMM, chassis switch, power, and cooling components for each chassis system. To do so, the Entuity collector uses port 443 (which must be open bidirectionally between the Entuity server/agent and the chassis host) and a monitoring user account.
Supported devices
- IBM/Lenovo Flex System Chassis
- Chassis with CMM Generation I & II
To create a monitoring user account:
- Log into the Lenovo XClarity Administrator web interface as a Supervisor, and navigate to Administration > Security.
- In the Users and Groups section, click Local Users.
- Navigate to the Users Management page.
- Click Create.
- Enter the username, description, and password for the user account, and confirm the password.
- Select the role of lxc-operator, and then click Create again to save your changes.
