To create a monitoring user account
Configuration details to specify when adding the asset to Entuity
Entuity supports hardware monitoring on IBM Power Systems running Linux operating systems (OSes) through SSH commands. Entuity discovers the enclosure, SAS enclosures, power supplies and fans, processors, disk controllers, memory modules, network interfaces, ports, and physical disks of each system. To do so, the Entuity collector uses port 22 (which must be open bidirectionally between the Entuity server/agent and the IBM Power System) and a monitoring user account.
Supported devices
- IBM Power Systems running the Linux OS
To create a monitoring user account:
Prerequisite:
Sudo must be installed on the system before you can create a monitoring user account.
